Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my recent visit at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I discovered behind its doors was appalling and beyond comprehension .

From the moment I entered , it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The floorboards were filthy, and a pungent odor of stale beer and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. During my time there, I saw how uncomfortable several women seemed around Cornwell.
